About
Hi, I’m Henry Doce, an INTP-A personality type with a passion for solving problems and connecting with people. I spent three years working as a psychosocial rehabilitation counselor at a nonprofit organization advocating for individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness.
I found a passion for coding in my free time and attended a coding bootcamp to make the transition to become a frontend software engineer in 2019. Since then I’ve held various positions as an engineer at both startups and large companies, was the lead instructor of a coding bootcamp, placed as a finalist in the 2019 Startup Bus hackathon, and have settled down as a frontend engineer at ever.ag, an AgTech company, for the past year and a half.
I’m currently channeling my skills into developing my personal project: Spontaneity, a React Native app focused on bringing gentle, flexible reminders that help you add spontaneous moments to your life, designed especially for those with ADHD.
This blog is my platform for building in public, where I document my development journey, share insights, and connect with others who are passionate about tech and innovation. Join me as I continue to explore the intersection of technology and human-centered design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the digital world.
If you’d like to get in contact, try reaching me on Bluesky or Mastodon first. LinkedIn works too, but I don’t check it often.
